SPLAT! mentors and nurtures volunteers who are professionally competent, grounded in core values and committed to society and our cause. We inspire and equip our volunteers with the appropriate attitudes, knowledge and skills to emerge from our partnerships better, stronger and wiser - more inspired and prepared to pioneer change, and inspire others to give of their best for the betterment of society.
Mission
To engage the public into accepting and offering second chances to youths-at-risk and ex-youth offenders while inspiring community action to support their rehabilitation and reintegration into society.
Strategy
Educate the public about the concerns and challenges which youths-at-risk and ex-youth offenders exposed to undesirable criminal influences face that limit their potential to develop as self-actualising and dignified individuals.
Engage the public into accepting and offering second chances to youths-at-risk and ex-youth offenders while inspiring community action to support their rehabilitation and reintegration into society.
Empower volunteers, youths-at-risk and ex-youth offenders in initiating and sustaining conscientious contributions to society while realising their potential as self-actualising and dignified individuals.
Raise funds which fund educational opportunities and programmes for youths-at-risk and ex-youth offenders while exercising prudence in the management of finances.
Identity
SPLAT! is a public education, outreach and fundraising community arts movement to engage the public into accepting and offering second chances to youths-at-risk and ex-youth offenders while inspiring community action to support their rehabilitation and reintegration into society.

SPLAT!, short for Spirit, Person, Life, an Artistic Transition, embodies our faith in the human spirit within each person to turn frailty into strength, mistakes into experience and live life to one's fullest. This transition is expressed through the arts. The exclamation mark reflects the conviction, passion and vigour of our stakeholders in championing our cause. The distinct and vibrant colour of each letter in SPLAT! signifies the diverse competencies and strengths of our stakeholders.
Achievements
SPLAT! has educated and engaged 43,695 individuals to accept and offer second chances to youths-at-risk and ex-youth offenders, raised S$14,182.36 towards funding educational opportunities and programmes for youths-at-risk and ex-youth offenders, and developed 575 volunteers, youths-at-risk and ex-youth offenders.
SPLAT! was presented as the case study in community engagement and empowerment in youth rehabilitation and reintegration at the 4th UNESCO Asian Youth Forum held at the Asian level and organised by the Korean National Commision for UNESCO.
SPLAT! clinched the prestigious Gold Award for the Open Category of the Youth Service-Learning Award 2009 at the national level and conferred by the National Youth Council.
